SelfPubPress was established in an effort to deal with our publication problems. Any profits emanating from this enterprise would be distributed among several local charities. Our website provides a listing of our books along with a brief account their contents. Short resumes of our professional backgrounds are included. Purchasing instructions would be furnished.
In recent years, our experiences in writing, publishing, and selling books had been very frustrating. Our needs for assistance in these areas were substantial. Advertised resources promised a great deal but failed to deliver much of anything. They seemed content to take our money and run. Despite massive efforts on our parts, it was not possible to establish a harmonious working relationship with any of our resources. Sloppiness, unexplained delays, failure to respond to e-mail questions, and an inability to fulfill promises were the order of the day.
Conversations with other authors indicated to us that our experiences were not at all unique.
It is our hope that SelfPubPress will run counter to this custom of incompetence and indifference. We wish to offer support and encouragement to aspiring authors. For a nominal fee, they may make themselves and their works known on our website.
